Whether you are a seasoned bike mechanic, or have just learned to ride, getting involved with Le Petit Vélo Rouge is a great way to learn more about Montreal’s bicycle community and bicycle mechanics.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with organizational development, and to help during our weekly bike builds. Volunteering is a great opportunity to gain lots of hands-on experience with bikes. There are no requirements to volunteering, just a willingness to learn — our current volunteers and mechanics would love to share their knowledge with you.
If you’re interested in volunteering with LPVR, fill out the volunteer form and let us know how you’d like to help!
Le Petit Vélo Rouge is also looking for donations of bicycles, parts, tools, books and other materials. If you have a previously loved bike that is looking for a second chance on life, you can make a donation to Le Petit Vélo Rouge. We recondition donated and rescued bikes so that we can sell them to students or community members in need of affordable used bikes. Your donated bicycles will help to support a growing need for sustainable and accessible transportation, while diverting waste destined for scrap and landfill sites.
